How to know if someone unfriended or blocked you on Snapchat?
Social media platforms typically make it rather obvious if someone has blocked or unfriended you, but Snapchat keeps everything somewhat under wraps. So much so that you might not even notice if you’re not looking.
We’ll go through four ways in this article to find out whether someone has blocked or unfriended you on Snapchat.
Take a look at the chat Window
Any snaps you send after someone unfriends you or blocks you will be held in pending status until they add you again. In these situations, you can try sending the individual a snap to see if they’ve blocked you or unfriended you. On your Android or iOS device, launch the Snapchat app, then follow the instructions listed below.
- Tap the chat icon. Alternatively, you can swipe right on the screen.
- Open the chat between you and the person you’re checking.
- If you see a message saying your chat will be pending until you’re added as a friend, it means you’ve been unfriended.
Check the snap score
A user’s snap score is a numerical indicator of how frequently they use Snapchat. High usage is indicated by higher scores. Your snap score is only visible to friends, though. Additionally, if someone’s snap score is hidden from you, they have either blocked you or unfriended you.
- Open Snapchat and tap the search icon at the top.
- Search for the friend you’re looking to check. Tap their bitmoji to open their profile.
- If you can see the snap score, you’re all good. Otherwise, you’ve either been blocked or removed as a friend.
Check your followers’ list
The majority of social media sites, including Snapchat, keep a list of your pals. If someone has blocked or unfriended you, they won’t show up on this list.
- Open Snapchat and tap the profile icon in the top left.
- Under the Friends section, tap My Friends.
- Search for the person you’re trying to find. If you don’t see their name, they’ve unfriended you.
Try posting a story
This approach isn’t particularly effective, but it can help you determine whether you’ve been unfriended while simultaneously posting a story.
You only need to post a tale and then see the number of views it received. You might have been blocked or unfriended if the person you’re looking for isn’t on the viewer’s list.
How to unfriend someone on Snapchat?

- Tap on the search option on the top.
- Search for the friend you want to remove and tap their bitmoji.
- Tap the three vertical dots in the top right.
- Tap on Remove friend.
